Rick Jones

A scrappy, rebellious orphan, Rick Jones stumbled into the test site for the Gamma Bomb and inadvertently caused Bruce Banner to be caught in the blast while trying to save Rick, transforming Banner into the Hulk. Rick became the Hulk's closest confidant, a member of the Avengers and a friend and sidekick to heroes like Captain America, Captain Marvel and Rom. Rick finally got to live his dream of being a superhero, for a time, when he was transformed into the gamma-powered monster he dubbed A-Bomb. (1)
