Tigress and Black Lightning head into the hospital to rescue Superboy and are assisted by the girl Tigress saved, who she nicknames "Halo" due to her powers. Dick discovers that Dr. Jace activated the meta-gene in Brion to oppose the leader of Bedlam, Baron Bedlam a.k.a. Baron DeLamb. While the Baron is able to kidnap the trafficked children, Dick's team is able to save Dr. Jace and Brion, who starts experiencing his new powers of Geokinesis. DeLamb, having taken security footage from the lab, frames Brion for his crimes, leading the prince to arrive at the coronation to attack his uncle in a rage, revealing the Baron as a metahuman. Superboy manages to defeat Bedlam and as Gregor realizes DeLamb's skill with his powers suggests practice and partnership with Bedlam, has the traitor arrested. However, he also banishes his brother from Markovia due to what metahuman affairs have wrought on their family; Gregor asks Superboy to help his brother. Black Lightning's powers return after witnessing the death of Halo by a raging Plasmus, but Halo's passive healing factor allows her to survive. Black Lightning manages to free Plasmus from Bedlam's control, but a frightened bystander shoots and ultimately kills him. Uncertain of what to do next, Superboy returns with Brion and Artemis asks Nightwing what is their next move.
