The Mandarin became the leader of the Ten Rings. Shrouded in mystery, his followers describe him as ancient warrior king.
War Machine was under orders to destroy Ten Rings terrorist cells. While doing so the Mandarin ordered his agents to capture War Machine. Even though they failed to capture him they did manged to get a sca of the War Machine armor.
